  •   The skin care and beauty products industry is mainly located on 3F and 4F in District III of the International Trade Mart. Over 500 firms of the industry mainly deals with products in four main categories, namely facial care products, body care products, cosmetics and other skin care and beauty products. Boasting full grades and famous brands both at home and abroad, products of the industry were mainly exported to the Middle East, Africa, South America, etc.
      Impacted by “beauty consumption”, the skin care and beauty products industry made outstanding sales performance in recent years. Since July, the sales of skin care products and cosmetics have been promoted by the summer vocation economy.
      The skin care products were sold well. The facial care products has always been the dominant products in the industry. The sales of functional skin care products has been increasing rapidly. Moisturizing skin care products such as moisturizing facial mask, toner and moisturizing lotion were favored by consumers in summer. Sunscreen cream products achieved outstanding sales performance in both wholesale and retail. The sales of body care products maintained steady. As the global epidemic continues, the sales of hand sanitizer, disinfectant alcohol and other cleaning products kept raising, with orders for replenishment being placed continuously. With the prevalence of foot massage, products related to foot bath, including foot massage cream, foot bath medicine, foot cream achieved good sales continuously.
      The sales of cosmetics recovered. Relying on the emerging online business models such as social media and influencer marketing, the cosmetics industry has recovered rapidly. With the gradual rise of consumers' awareness of beauty in the second-tier and third-tier cities, together with the continuous expansion of consumer group for cosmetics, the sales volume of domestic cosmetics brands with relatively low price has been growing constantly. Products such as foundation, blush, concealer, and lipstick were sold well in the market, and were mainly purchased by cosmetics stores and supermarkets. Besides, influencer marketing has also become a new channel for operators to expand their sales channels.
